About Sound Trimmer

Sound Trimmer is an independent browser tool for trimming, joining and adjusting the volume of audio recordings. Open a file, select the section, preview it and download a new clip.

A straightforward audio workflow

The editor supports start and end times, optional fades, and MP3 or WAV downloads. It runs on your device and does not require an account or an audio upload. The demo sound is generated locally so you can try the workflow without providing a file.

Our audio joiner combines recordings in your chosen order. The volume changer adjusts levels with sample-peak clipping protection. All three tools support local MP3 and WAV downloads.

Clear limits

Browser memory and codec support vary. The cutter and volume changer accept a file up to 60 MB and five minutes. The joiner accepts up to six files within a combined 60 MB and five-minute limit and supports mono or stereo audio. It does not offer professional mastering, automatic noise removal, lossless MP3 frame cutting or guaranteed compatibility with every recording.

Independent service

Sound Trimmer is not affiliated with an audio-file format owner, browser vendor or music platform. Editing a clip does not grant permission to publish or reuse the original recording. Keep the original file if you may need to edit it again.

Open-source audio encoding

MP3 encoding uses the unmodified @breezystack/lamejs 1.2.7 library, derived from LAME. Read the third-party notices and LGPL license.
